SVP of Portfolio Management

They are looking for an Investment Team Associate to build and review financial models to support management investment decisions, with a focus on modeling project returns, optimizing capital structure, and identifying risks and potential upsides.

They specialize in developing, designing, and operating advanced energy storage systems that enable businesses and utilities to maximize their use of renewable energy sources. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in the energy industry, a strong understanding of energy storage technologies, and a passion for renewable energy.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with CFO at portfolio company to implement best-in-class cashflow management, accounting controls, and treasury operations 
• Participate in weekly cash flow review meetings and manage rolling 13-week cash flow forecast 
• Drive standardization in accounting, reporting, and financial operations and deliver ‘best-in-class’ tools, techniques, and templates to portfolio companies 
• Evaluate portfolio company's financial systems and participate in implementation or upgrade of systems 
• Participate in annual portfolio company audits and tax reporting and ensure they are completed in a timely manner. Effectively communicate to the audit committee on material findings/issues. 
• Drive timely financial reporting from portfolio companies, including BOD presentations

Skills & Qualifications:

• BA in Accounting or Finance 
• MBA preferred 
• CPA license 
• 12+ years progressive finance and accounting experience, recently leading the finance function of an organization 
• Private equity or PE-backed company experience preferred 
• Public accounting experience 
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills 
• Process-driven individual with a track record of implementing process improvements
