Job Description:

Our client is in search of a seasoned commercial transactions attorney to provide vital support for the company's utility-scale solar generation and energy storage development and business management teams. The ideal candidate will be tasked with drafting and negotiating an array of complex commercial agreements, including renewable energy power purchase agreements, energy storage agreements, build-transfer agreements, joint development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and other contracts related to solar generation and energy storage projects. The successful applicant must embody a collaborative spirit, possess demonstrated commercial acumen, foster positive relationships with clients, management, and counterparts, and excel within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Location:

This position may be based in Juno Beach, FL, San Francisco, CA, Houston, TX, Washington, DC; however, remote work from other locations will be considered based on the candidate's experience.

Job Overview:

Individuals in this role engage in intricate legal matters and projects, delivering high-quality legal services to clients with minimal supervision. Must have some PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) experience and transaction/M&A experience.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Offer comprehensive written and oral legal counsel to clients.
  • Anticipate and mitigate legal risks associated with organizational operations.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and minimize reliance on external legal counsel.
  • Facilitate the disclosure of potentially significant legal issues to senior leadership.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Membership in Good Standing with the State Bar.
  • Juris Doctorate.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience: 4+ years.

Salary

$200-$250k base plus bonus
