Our client is a leading player in the renewable energy sector, as a Real Estate Paralegal. Our client specializes in acquiring, developing, and managing renewable energy projects across the United States, boasting a portfolio of over 65 projects with a capacity exceeding 8 gigawatts. As part of our dynamic team, you'll play a vital role in supporting our mission in an inclusive, collaborative environment that values meticulous problem-solving and attention to detail.
Role:
- Order and meticulously review title commitments, exception documents, and ALTA surveys.
- Interface directly with title companies and surveyors to resolve discrepancies and obtain necessary deliverables for financing or closing transactions.
- Prepare and coordinate the execution and recordation of real estate agreements, including leases, easements, memoranda, amendments, and terminations.
- Handle landowner estoppels, subordination and non-disturbance agreements, and various other land, title, and curative documents.
- Coordinate, track, and report on project execution, including title searches and curative work.
- Analyze, coordinate, and procure crossing consents and agreements with third parties, ensuring compliance with construction teams and contractors.
- Administer contract critical dates, electronic calendaring, and closing checklists, assisting with all aspects of closings.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field and 3-7 years of real estate paralegal experience with an in-house legal department or law firm.
- Proven track record of closing complex multi-parcel real estate projects or similar transactions.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents.
- Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Transactional experience, familiarity with closing mechanics and documentation, and knowledge of title insurance preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, keen analytical acumen, and strong time management skills.
- Service-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and communicate effectively with team members and external counterparties.
- Previous experience in the renewable energy industry is preferred but not required.
Salary:
- Expected annual base salary: $65,000 to $95,000, overtime pay, bonus
