This individual will provide real estate, transactional, and administrative support to multiple cross-functional teams, including the company’s project finance and development teams, with an emphasis on real estate closings and title curative work. The company is a market-leading owner and operator of renewable energy projects across the United States that acquires, develops, owns, operates, or has contracted more than 8 gigawatts of capacity among a portfolio of over 65 renewable energy projects. The paralegal will become part of a small, highly skilled team responsible for supporting the company’s portfolio of wind, solar, and energy storage projects in an inclusive, collaborative, and engaging environment that values thoughtful problem-solving and attention to detail.

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

You’ll order and review title commitments, exception documents, and ALTA surveys. You’ll interface directly with title companies and surveyors to resolve any issues or discrepancies and obtain revised title commitments, title insurance pro formas, and final surveys as deliverables for financing or closing transactions. You’ll prepare and coordinate the execution and recordation of real estate agreements, including lease and easement agreements along with associated memoranda, amendments, and terminations. You’ll handle landowner estoppels, subordination and non-disturbance agreements, and various other land, title, and curative documents, affidavits, and more. You’ll coordinate, track, and report on the execution of projects, including title searches and title curative work. You’ll also track project status reporting for a pipeline of real estate properties proposed or under option for project sites. You’ll conduct analysis, coordination, and procurement of crossing consents and crossing agreements with third parties, including conveying and drafting compliance requirements to construction teams and contractors. You’ll prepare and administer contract critical dates, electronic calendaring, and closing checklists, in addition to coordinating and assisting with all aspects of closings.
