IT Project Manager

Intelletec is partnering with a leading climate positive investment firm who are looking to hire an IT Project Manager. They partner with clients to deploy real assets that facilitate the energy transition. With more than $9 billion in managed assets, their vision is that every investment improves our climate future. This position is responsible for managing multiple ongoing critical and strategic corporate projects and initiatives. Projects are generally technology-focused and range from commercial software to custom developed solutions. The project manager will work closely with cross-functional teams of stakeholders and subject matter in order to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.

As an IT PM you will:

  • Evaluate complex situations using multiple sources of information filters; validates and interprets dynamic material
  • Define project scope, deliverables, roles, and responsibilities, based on best practices and industry standards and in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners
  • Define, acquire, and allocate budget, staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish the determined goals and/or objectives and monitors performance across resource channels in relation to the plan
  • Coordinate with and motivate cross-discipline team members and vendors to make sure that all parties are on track with the requirements, deadlines, and schedules for project development initiatives
  • Assign and monitor work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time, and within budget
  • Establish, plan, and execute major milestone reviews and decision gates to complete the project life cycle
  • Support and manage the product evaluation and selection processes while maintaining balance between procurement cost/benefit today and future implications and limitations
  • Possess high-level understanding in the areas of web application programming, content management systems, API, database, and system design

Skills:

  • 3+ years of project management experience and a demonstrated understanding of project management processes, artifacts, and tools
  • Strong software skills, particularly with Excel and Visio
  • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Ability to independently manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between stakeholders and subject matter experts across departments
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships
  • Experience in business process mapping or operational redesign/improvement
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience with financial, accounting, and legal processes highly preferred
