Role:
- Assist in the transaction and due diligence processes for debt/equity investments and acquisitions, including analyzing the terms in project agreements that may affect economic returns.
- Develop and manage financial models, including project operating proformas, to evaluate investments, structure deals, and assess associated risks.
- Create and maintain portfolio models that incorporate project/partnership models.
- Collaborate closely with the Investment Team to support various stages of investment execution, such as initial qualification evaluation, term sheet development, internal investment proposal, due diligence, and documentation closing.
- Support the expansion and growth plans in target markets by conducting comprehensive assessments.
- Evaluate market potential and characteristics, considering factors like climate impact, technological maturity, scalability, competitive landscape, key risks, and management approaches.
- Prepare fundamental assessments of market size, supply and demand dynamics, overviews of potential client companies, pricing expectations, as well as identify key regulatory and policy dependencies and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized four-year institution; preference given to candidates with a CFA and/or MBA qualifications.
- Ideally have 1-4 years of experience in finance, energy, or environmental markets.
- Proficient in MS Excel with advanced financial modeling and data mining skills, showcasing expertise in handling intricate models.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and entrepreneurial work environment.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Display self-motivation, collaborative spirit, and meticulous attention to detail.
