Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Renewable Energy Insurance Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance, risk management, and renewable energy industries. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical skills, a deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement insurance strategies tailored to the specific needs of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and other emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their risk exposures and provide customized insurance solutions to protect their investments and assets.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for renewable energy projects, including site evaluations, technical due diligence, and financial analysis.
  • Negotiate insurance terms, conditions, and pricing with underwriters to ensure competitive and favorable coverage for clients.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks related to renewable energy projects and adjust insurance strategies accordingly.
  • Manage a portfolio of renewable energy insurance accounts, including renewals, endorsements, and claims management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, underwriters, and other key stakeholders in the renewable energy industry.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and external partners on renewable energy insurance-related matters.
  • Stay abreast of emerging insurance products, innovations, and best practices in the renewable energy insurance market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., ARM, CPCU, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance, risk management, or related fields, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project development, and operations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and develop innovative insurance solutions.
  • Proven track record of building and managing client relationships in the insurance or renewable energy industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and insurance-related software applications.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.

Salary:

$100-$150k base plus bonus
