Intelletec has partnered with a leading storage developer that is part of the BlackRock portfolio of companies, the company is a national leader in energy storage deployment. They are looking for a Finance Associate to take a lead role in capital transactions and manage the financial planning and analysis process. This person will be responsible for driving key strategic and investment decision-making.

Our client currently has approximately 700 megawatt-hours in construction or operation and is developing approximately 12 GW of projects up to 2026. The Financial Analyst will be a member of and report to the Project Finance and Capital Markets team. This role is appropriate for candidates who are disciplined, detail-oriented and can work both independently and in teams to solve complex challenges on deadlines. A team member in this role will have many opportunities to develop and learn a deep level of knowledge of the clean energy and battery project industry.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Build financial models from templates and from scratch, run scenario analysis and provide data analytics to evaluate development projects, construction projects and energy contracts in order to identify areas of risk and opportunity
  • Support Capital Markets lead transactor and CFO in regular budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Drive continual improvement and streamline processes
  • Address new requests: understand the core question being asked, capture needed data, build models, validate assumptions, perform analyses, summarize, and present results in a compelling manner
  • Build strong relationships across the Jupiter team; collaborate and contribute to achieve shared goals
  • Practice strong diligence and attention to detail in gathering information and running analyses to support senior-level decision making
  • Build and own excel-based financial models for analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing financial data to support debt and equity raises for new project construction and existing project refinancings
  • Support and lead financial model analysis
  • Manage diligence and support business transactions

Skills & Requirements: 

  • Expert-level experience with MS Office Excel, including strong financial modeling capability
  • Strong dedication and discipline to build complex models and assure correct inputs
  • Ability to communicate complex financial model results to team members verbally, in written form and via PowerPoint reports
  • Self-motivated and highly organized team player with keen attention to detail
  • Passionate interest in the clean energy industry
  • Ability to travel as needed, expectation is up to 1 week per month
  • 100-110k base + bonus + equity
