Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support, maintenance services, and upgrades for customers' excitation and voltage regulation systems.
- Conduct on-site commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for various excitation system OEMs.
- Lead complex upgrade or replacement projects, ensuring seamless integration of new OEM equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve highly complex technical issues utilizing in-depth knowledge of OEM-specific designs and components.
- Train junior engineers on OEM-specific systems and foster internal expertise across major excitation system brands.
- Represent the company in strategic discussions with OEMs regarding new technologies and applications.
- Offer technical guidance, documentation, and training to facilitate customers' implementation of new system designs and features.
- Maintain certifications and stay abreast of the latest system technologies and industry best practices through ongoing training and certification.
- Ensure timely submission of all reports, documentation, and expense reports in accordance with company policy.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in excitation and voltage regulation field service, with at least 5 years directly working with a major excitation system OEM.
- Expert-level technical knowledge of GE/Alstom excitation and voltage regulation systems.
- Proven track record in leading complex upgrade or replacement projects involving integration of new OEM equipment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a remote technical support team.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly for fieldwork.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and availability for 24x7 emergency callouts as needed.
