Responsibilities: As an Electrical Field Engineer, your primary responsibility involves the maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, with a focus on AVR, SFC, generator protection, synchronizing, and generators at customer power plants. This role operates remotely and entails extensive travel to customer sites.
Role:
Key Duties:
- Safely prepare and execute work tasks independently or collaboratively.
- Conduct on-site maintenance, testing, installation, and commissioning support for electrical system upgrades.
- Perform testing on electrical circuits and components to ensure optimal functionality.
- Swiftly troubleshoot electrical system failures, including thorough analysis of event data.
- Complete comprehensive field service reports, feedback records, and quality documentation promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and comply with electrical codes and standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest control system technologies and industry best practices through ongoing training and certification.
- Submit all necessary reports, documentation, and expense reports in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical field service.
- Familiarity with ABB/Alstom AVR and SFC systems is advantageous.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in resolving complex technical issues.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to continuous learning.
- Willingness to travel extensively.

Compensation:
$105-$150k base (plus overtime) and bonus
