As they continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial-minded VP of Operations & Maintenance to lead and optimize our O&M division.
The Role:
The VP of Operations & Maintenance will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational excellence and performance optimization of renewable energy projects within our portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and longevity of their client’s utility-scale solar assets, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit in driving innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for the O&M division, aligning with the company's overall objectives and growth plans.
- Instill an entrepreneurial mindset within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of O&M professionals with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and risk-taking within the O&M team.
Operations Optimization:
- Drive initiatives to optimize the performance and efficiency of renewable energy assets, maximizing energy production and minimizing downtime.
- Encourage the team to explore and implement entrepreneurial solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
Contract Management:
- Oversee the negotiation, execution, and management of O&M contracts with clients, fostering an entrepreneurial approach to identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, with an eye for identifying potential partnerships and collaborations.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the O&M budget with an entrepreneurial focus on cost-effective operations and revenue-generating opportunities.
- Identify and pursue entrepreneurial initiatives for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Technology Integration:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in O&M for renewable energy projects, fostering an entrepreneurial culture of experimentation and implementation of new technologies.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in operations and maintenance within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on utility-scale solar or other clean energy technologies.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- In-depth knowledge of O&M best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through an entrepreneurial approach.

Salary
