Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Compliance Programs, overseeing critical CIP Compliance initiatives. This role requires strategic leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements in the renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of company-wide NERC CIP Compliance programs.
  • Provide strategic guidance and direction for the effective implementation of NERC CIP policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies and external auditors, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses for compliance issues, develop comprehensive mitigation plans, and oversee corrective actions.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for NERC compliance audits, offering expert insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers and Site Managers, to address compliance-related risks and issues.
  • Stay abreast of changes in NERC CIP standards and industry best practices, proactively adjusting compliance programs as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in utility, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, or related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in NERC CIP Reliability Standards and experience navigating regulatory requirements in the renewable energy sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading compliance initiatives and driving process improvements.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

Additional Requirements:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or ISO is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to company sites and meetings, as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time senior management position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping compliance strategy and ensuring continued success in the renewable energy industry.

Location: San Bernadino County, CA - ability to travel to company power plant

Salary:

$170-$220k base plus 20-30% bonus
