Renewable Asset Attorney position with a leading Renewable Energy Developer who owns & operates a diverse portfolio of Renewable projects throughout the United States, specializing in utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage assets.


Company's portfolio exceeds 6 GW of capacity among a portfolio of over 60 renewable energy projects, you would be joining a team with a proven track record for success within the space of Renewable Energy for over a decade now. With 12 projects going live this year alone, this company continues to grow


Responsibilities:


You will provide legal support to the current asset management team, which is responsible for energy and revenue generation.


In doing so, you will collaborate with asset managers to respond to ongoing matters related to the portfolio, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating service contracts (such as O&M agreements and services agreements), amendments to and consents under financing arrangements (including with debt, tax equity, and/or equity investors), and other types of agreements to support the operation of our solar, wind, and storage projects.


You’ll also assist with ensuring contractual compliance across our operational portfolio.


Additionally, you’ll provide guidance on resolving disputes arising during commercial operations, helping to pursue contractual remedies including enforcement of collateral rights and warranty claims, and providing potential strategic pre-litigation guidance. You’ll also provide education and training on various topics, including the company’s legal policies and procedures, and assist in the training and development of the asset management team by expanding their understanding of legal and operations frameworks, trade-offs, and associated documentation.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a J.D., a record of academic achievement, and three to five years of relevant renewable energy project experience.
  • Well-developed analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as keen attention to detail, are essential.
  • Sound judgment is of great importance, as is a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in support of highly complex renewable energy projects.
