Tax Director, Renewables

Intelletec has partnered with a leading hedge fund that develops/owns/operates over 6MW of Solar, Battery Storage, and Wind assets in the US. They are seeking an experienced Tax Director to lead and oversee all aspects of tax compliance and planning for their renewable energy investment portfolio.


  • Lead and oversee all aspects of tax compliance and planning for the renewable energy investment portfolio, including federal and state tax returns, estimated tax payments, tax audits, and tax planning strategies
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the tax position and maximize value for investors
  • Work closely with the accounting, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and identify tax-saving opportunities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other compliance-related matters
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including tax authorities and industry groups
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the renewable energy investment portfolio


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree in taxation preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant renewable tax experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations related to renewable energy investments, including tax credits and incentives
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing tax planning strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
