Senior Quant Analyst - Energy @ Top Firm

Our client is a well-established Energy Trader with an impressive track record & over a decade in the US markets. The business has a successful asset portfolio as well as a prop-trading division which has a strong fundamental & quant approach to trading. The company operates assets across gas, renewables & energy storage as well as a wholesale division

Some information about the role:

As a Quant Analyst you will work with the trading & Front-Office team to help develop and implement research across the Energy space - you'll have the opportunity to be involved in trading strategies, position management & risk modeling

Ideal Skills:

• Proven experience in a front-office environment, ideally with a trading desk, with the ability & vision to run and manage quant strategies/research
• Ideally with experience in trading the US Power markets
• Strong fundamental knowledge of the US Energy markets is essential
• Ability to work with a number of different key teams simultaneously - risk, research, origination, asset optimization etc

Qualifications

• 4 years+ experience in a quant position
• US energy markets experience is a huge plus
• Strong fundamental knowledge of US Power markets would also be a plus
• Demonstrable track record in front-office environments
• Excellent written & verbal skills
