Senior PV Design Engineer

Senior PV Design Engineer with a Utility-Scale Solar developer with over $650 million in solar energy assets for utilities, banks, and Fortune 500 companies. Are you open to a new challenge?

My client is a solar energy project development and financial services company with a national footprint and a diverse customer, investor, and partner base. The company has financed or developed over $1 billion of solar energy assets to date.

Founded in 2008, the company is based in Washington, D.C., and is led by its founder. This position will report directly to the Preconstruction Manager, reside within the Project Operations department, and support Customer Solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Creating site layouts in AutoCAD for Utility and Commercial scale solar projects.
• Creating sheet sets for electrical and structural disciplines under engineer supervision.
• Gaining deep knowledge of PV system components such as modules, racking, inverters, and Balance of Systems (BOS).
• Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Relevant experience performing detail construction or site development designs.
• Proficiency in design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of C&I or utility-scale PV systems design is strongly preferred; some PV solar design experience is required.
