The Role


The company is on the lookout for a Senior Financial Analyst responsible for crafting and maintaining financial analysis tools crucial for informed decision-making regarding energy storage project development, investments, and financing opportunities. This role reports directly to the company's Senior Manager of Finance.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and manage intricate financial models for assessing energy storage projects and investment opportunities.
  • Create detailed financial forecasts encompassing capital costs, revenues, operating expenses, and financing aspects.
  • Compile supporting data and evidentiary sources for key assumptions within financial models and forecasts.
  • Analyze scenarios to evaluate risks and opportunities for storage project investments.
  • Generate reports summarizing financial modeling results for decision-making processes.
  • Critically analyze model outcomes, offering recommendations for optimizing project and investment performance.
  • Assist in financing and capital raising by providing financial forecasts and risk-return analysis.
  • Stay informed about energy industry fundamentals and trends, anticipating new opportunities or threats.
  • Assess project performance against expectations, incorporating insights into continuous improvement.


Required Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Three or more years of financial analysis experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of curiosity.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex financial ideas.
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, effective, and efficient work approach.
  • Collaborative team player.

$100-$120k base plus bonus
