Senior Accounting Associate | Renewable Energy

They are currently seeking a talented Senior Associate to join their dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in accounting for various investments, including receivables, real estate, debt securities, joint ventures, and securitizations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accounting schedules for equity-method investments and securitization trusts
• Assist in calculating asset fair values on a quarterly and ad-hoc basis
• Conduct research to ensure compliance with accounting principles
• Contribute to a timely monthly financial close
• Support the preparation of SEC filings (e.g., Form 10-K, Form 10-Q)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Investments, Portfolio Management, and Corporate Finance

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a public company environment with a Big 4 or regional accounting firm
• Energy or financial services industry experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as NPV and IRR
• Proficiency in Excel with expertise in data analysis techniques
• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
• Active CPA license or working towards obtaining one
• Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
