Manager - Corporate Finance (Renewables - Corporate Debt Analysis and Treasury)

Our Client is a leading climate-positive investment firm looking for a Manager to join their Corporate Finance team in Annapolis, MD. They are growing our team to help us with financing transactions and managing our short-term liquidity activities. The role will primarily involve working on secured debt financing transactions. The Manager will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborating with the Investment and Portfolio Management teams to identify assets suitable for secured debt financing.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with banking institutions.
  • Working directly with the Senior Director to structure, negotiate, and execute debt arrangements, coordinating with internal and external legal resources and other third parties.
  • Reviewing investment documentation, including third-party reports, power purchase agreements, financing agreements, and other investment assumptions to assist with negotiating secured financing terms.
  • Assisting with broader liquidity management objectives, including cash flow forecasting, duration analysis, liability management, and other related activities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across different departments to provide certain finance assumptions for investment economics and decision-making.
  • Supporting capital markets transactions with due diligence inquiries, assistance with preparing marketing materials, financial modeling, and other activities associated with secured and unsecured debt, convertible bonds, and equity issuances.
  • Assume a senior-level role as a Manager, bringing extensive experience and expertise in Corporate Debt Analysis and Treasury, contributing to the strategic direction and success of the team without direct management of personnel.

EDUCATION AND PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in corporate finance with a focus on Project Finance
  • Experience with Renewable Energy assets a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative, entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills most notably with the execution of financing transactions
  • Demonstrated understanding of Renewable Energy projects, including tax equity and other financing instruments
  • Strong Microsoft Excel financial modeling with demonstrable experience working with complex financial models
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major/concentration in Finance or related field
  • MBA or CFA a plus

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • $130-150K BASE PLUS 20-40% BONUS
