We are working with a well-established developer that is looking to grow its internal Prop Trading team. Our client develops, owns and operates a significant portfolio of Renewable projects across the US as well as trading a Prop book covering Renewable/Power markets.
Some Information about the role:
You will be responsible for overseeing the Analysis for the Trading team which trades in the US Renewables & Power markets. In this role you would work closely with the Traders, Asset Management & Trade Finance teams to ensure that data from the assets is translating into trading strategies effectively
As a Head of Analysis, Trading you will:
- Manage a team of analysts to conduct research which will directly feed into Prop strategies
- Handle the Research and Analysis of US Energy markets - specifically the US Renewables, Power & Gas markets - and be able to develop sophisticated supply / demand models
- Work with Trading, Asset Management & Trade Finance team to collect data and present your finding in order to assist with commercial decisions
Conduct analysis on external markets/factors and be the lead analyst for the trading team
Skills:
- 5+ years of relevant experience - working within the Energy space
- Experience in Power/Gas analysis is essential - a good working knowledge of assets/asset-backed trading is ideal
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An Undergraduate degree or equivalent
